Tyler Murovich Signed To AHL Contract

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, in conjunction with their National Hockey League affiliate the Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that forward Tyler Murovich has been signed to a standard American Hockey League contract.

Murovich will be entering his first full season of professional hockey after recently concluding his junior career with the Ontario Hockey League's Saginaw Spirit. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania finished fourth in scoring with Saginaw last year collecting 24 goals and 28 assists for 52 points in 54 games. He also made his pro debut with the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch in 2009-10 averaging a-point-a-game with two goals and four assists for six points in five games.

Prior to the 2009-10 campaign, Murovich also spent both the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons with Saginaw collecting 46 goals and 55 assists for 101 points in 135 games in that span. Murovich collected a career high 27 goals, 36 assists and 63 points with the Spirit during the 2008-09 season finishing the year third on the team in scoring.

The Falcons continue to offer a variety of affordable season ticket packages for the 2010-2011 campaign.
