Party like it's 2007: The BEARS and Manchester Monarchs are meeting in the Calder Cup playoffs for only the second time. In the only other postseason meeting between the two clubs, HERSHEY swept the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals four games to none under head coach Bruce Boudreau. The Monarchs are in the third round of the Calder Cup playoffs for only the second time in team history.

BEARS/Monarchs in 2009-10: HERSHEY and Manchester split two games during the 2009-10 regular season, with Jonathan Bernier claiming a 2-1 win for the Monarchs at Giant Center on October 11. The BEARS then returned the favor, winning 4-1 at Verizon Wireless Arena on November 7. Zach Miskovic scored his first professional goal in the game, and goaltender Michal Neuvirth allowed just one goal in earning the win. Bernier played both games against HERSHEY, posting a 2.50 goals against average and a .932 saves percentage.

Practice schedule: The BEARS will practice Monday and Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Giant Center in preparations for the Eastern Conference Finals. Media availability follows practice at approximately 11:15 a.m.

Elsewhere around the AHL: The Hamilton Bulldogs are one win away from advancing to the Western Conference Finals, leading the Abbotsford Heat three games to two. Game 6 is Monday night at Copps Coliseum. Meanwhile, the Texas Stars and Chicago Wolves will play a Game 7 in the West Division Finals Tuesday night, with the series all tied at three wins each. It's the third straight year the West Finals have gone the distance in a best-of-seven series.
