
Tyler Johnson Activated from Disabled List

May 27, 2008 - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announce today that OF Tyler Johnson has been activated from the disabled list and OF Angel Castillo has been assigned to the Orem Owlz of the Pioneer League.
Johnson has been on the DL since May 8 with a knee injury. Castillo played in 12 games for the Kernels, batting .133 with four RBI.
With today's transactions, the Kernels roster stands at 24 active players with three players on the disabled list.
The Kernels begin a four game series at Peoria on Wednesday, May 28 with all four games scheduled for 6:30 pm. Cedar Rapids returns to Dale and Thomas Popcorn Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Sunday, June 1st and opens an eight game series with games against Kane County and Burlington.
