Tyler Barnes Recalled by IceHogs

INDIANAPOLIS - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs announced Wednesday that they have recalled forward Tyler Barnes from the ECHL's Indy Fuel. In a separate roster move, the Fuel released defenseman Nick Grasso.

Barnes, 26, returns to Rockford where he has tallied four goals and three assists in 22 games this season. In 33 career AHL contests, the third-year professional from Burnsville, Minn. has collected eight points and three assists. Barnes has averaged a point per game during four separate stints with Indy in 2016-17, showing five goals and 10 assists in 15 games played. The product of the University of Wisconsin has racked up 150 points (63g, 87a) in 155 career ECHL contests with the Fuel, the Missouri Mavericks and the Toledo Walleye.

The Fuel are gearing up for two games this weekend, beginning Friday night when they welcome the Wheeling Nailers to Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Indy then travels to Moline, Ill. to take on the Quad City Mallards Saturday.

Next Home Game: Friday, March 3 vs. Wheeling - 7:35 p.m. (Brave the Shave): Help the Fuel drop the gloves against childhood cancer and shave your head post-game on the ice to benefit the St. Baldrick' s Foundation . The Fuel will be sporting specialty jerseys, which will be auctioned off after the game, with a portion of the net proceeds benefitting St . Baldrick ' s . Friday is also a Fuel College Night presented by Moe' s Southwest Grill - pick up a ticket, $5 towards concessions and $5 Moe' s Bucks for $20 with a valid college ID .

Single-game tickets are now available for the third season of Fuel hockey in Indianapolis at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum box office or at all Ticketmaster locations. Ticket Plans of all sizes are also available, from Full-Season Plans to six and three-game packages, in addition to Group Ticket options.
