Rochester Minn.- The Rochester Honkers announced today the signing of two returning Honkers' players. Right-handed pitchers, Cameron Aufderheide from Colorado Springs and Ryan Dorney from Saint Martin's, will be add to the 2017 roster. Aufderheide will be returning from the 2016 team, Dorney was a Honker during the 2015 season.

Cameron Aufderheide is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound junior from Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. At Trabuco Hills High School, he lettered and earned all-league honors as a senior. He spent his first two seasons of college baseball at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Calif. In his sophomore season at Sandleback, he appeared in eleven games, with four starts. He finished with a perfect 4-0 record and a 3.16 ERA over 25.2 innings. He struck out 11 batters with 10 walks. Last summer with the Honkers, Cameron appeared in five games, totaling in 26.0 innings. He finished with a 2-1 record and a 3.11 ERA, including a 3-1 victory at Thunder Bay last August. Aufderheide went eight innings, giving up one run (earned) on five hits. He walked one batter and struck out five.

Cameron has started three games for Colorado Springs this season. He is 0-1 with a 7.24 ERA in 13.2 innings. He has 11 strikeouts and two walks. The Mountain Lions next travel to Denver, Colo. to face Regis University over a four-game series starting on Friday.

Ryan Dorney is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound redshirted sophomore from Bothell, Wash. At Archbishop Murphy High School, he was named first-team all-conference and all-state his senior year, and played in the Washington All-state series. In his freshman year at Saint Martin's, Ryan posted a 2-3 record and 4.79 ERA in 20.2 innings. He played with the Honkers during the summer of 2015, throwing 7.1 innings over four games. He struck out five batters with three walks. Dorney was medically redshirted his sophomore season, but was named on the GNAC All-conference Academic Team.

This season, Ryan has appeared in two games. He has a 0-1 record with a 1.80 ERA. In 10.0 innings, he has allowed five runs (two earned) on seven hits. He has five walks and six strikeouts. Saint Martin's travels on the road for a pair of weekend doubleheaders against Central Washington.

The Rochester Honkers 24th season begins on Tuesday, May 30th when the team hosts the Mankato Moondogs in their home opener at Mayo Field at 7:05 pm.
