MIDLAND - The RockHounds scored all their runs with two outs Thursday night, with three coming on a home run by Jhonny Santos in the sixth inning as Midland bested the Hooks, 6-2, before 3,653 fans at Momentum Bank Ballpark.

Bryce Conley picked up the win for the home club, striking out eight over five scoreless innings of relief. Conley has permitted just one run over his last 25.0 innings.

The lone RBI for the Hooks came on a two-out knock by Marty Costes in the third. Costes, who went 2-for-4 with a walk, has reached base in 50 of 57 games this season.

Cesar Salazar, making his Double-A debut, reached base three times, going 2-for-3 with a walk. Salazar's third-inning double accounted for Corpus Christi's only extra-base hit.

Facing Jimmy Endersby, the Hounds plated a pair in the first and scratched out a marker in the fourth.

In the sixth, eight men came to bat against Layne Henderson. Santos iced the contest with his fifth home run of the year, snapping an 0-for-13 drought in the process.

Sidewinder Devin Conn struck out three in two perfect frames of relief for the Hooks.

CC aims to draw even in the series Friday night with Brandon Lawson on the hill. First pitch 7 p.m.
