HERSHEY, Pa. - The Hershey Bears announced today that forward Kevin Elgestal has been signed to an amateur tryout agreement, and that defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler has been reassigned to the club. The announcements were made by Bears President/General Manager Doug Yingst.
Elgestal, 19, is making his second appearance in Chocolatetown. He arrives after splitting this season in his home country with Frolunda HC (SuperElit) and HC Vita Hasten (Allsvenskan). With Frolunda, Elgestal scored six goals and added six assists for 12 points in 16 games, and added five points (two goals, three assists) in 27 games with Vita Hasten.

Elgestal represented Sweden at the 2014 IIHF U-18 World Championship and the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament. He was selected by the Washington Capitals in the seventh round (194th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Siegenthaler, 18, joins the Bears after recently completing the regular season in his native Switzerland with the Zurich Lions (Swiss-A), where he recorded eight points (three goals, five assists) and a plus-16 rating in 40 games.
Born in Zurich, the 6-3, 220-pound defenseman notched three assists for the Lions in 41 games during the 2014-15 campaign. In 2012-13, Siegenthaler tallied 14 points (two goals, 12 assists) in 34 games playing for Zurich's junior team, winning the Swiss Elite Junior-A Championship.
