(North Little Rock, AR) - The Arkansas Twisters will begin pursuit of an ArenaCup Championship on the road on March 31 as part of its 16 game schedule that was released by the arenafootball2 League Office.
The path to the playoffs will begin for the Twisters on the road as four of its first five games are away from Alltel Arena. Arkansas will travel to South Georgia, Lubbock, and Amarillo before the home opener against newcomer Corpus Christi on April 28th at Allstate Field at Alltel Arena.
The Twisters also have a rare Sunday home game on May 20th against South Georgia. The schedule also includes a home and away series against nearby rival Bossier-Shreveport.
Arkansas will play four games against two teams that made the playoffs from 2006, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The new schedule also features five games against three teams that weren't in the af2 last year. Lubbock and Corpus Christi are expansion teams while Laredo is back after taking a season off from the league.
Divisions have been re-aligned and renamed with Arkansas being placed in the National Conference, Central Division. Besides Arkansas, the Central Division will consist of Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Amarillo, and Lubbock.
