Twisters All-Time Leading Receiver Returns to Team
(North Little Rock, AR) - The Arkansas Twisters got a major piece to their 2006 playoff puzzle back when WR Kevin Williams was assigned to the team by the arenafootball2 League Office. One of the most exciting players in Twisters' history, K-Dubb ignites the offense whenever the ball gets into his hands.
The 6'1", 215 pound product from UAPB is the All-Time Twisters leader in receptions, receiving yards, touchdowns and points scored. He was second on the team in '06 with 70 catches for 901 yards and 16 touchdowns. K-Dubb also had seven interceptions for over 100 return yards and two scores. He is the second leading scorer in league history and the first to get break the league touchdown record of 126 last year.
K-Dubb finished the '05 season as the second leading receiver on the team with 65 catches for 790 yards and 18 scores. He added 28 total tackles on defense.
Williams started 2004 as the starting quarterback. He threw for over 1600 yards and 22 touchdowns. His touchdown to interception ratio was three to one and he set a franchise record by rushing for 88 yards in a game from the quarterback position. Halfway through the '04 season, he moved to the offensive specialist position where he dominated af2 competition. His last game of the '04 season was a prime example of his dominance. K-dubb caught a franchise record six touchdowns and finished the season fifth in the league in scoring despite playing half his games at receiver. He also tied for the team lead in rushing touchdowns with 10 and was second on the team in passing touchdowns with 22.
K-Dubb emerged as the number one option on offense in '03, leading the team with career highs of 69 receptions for 1025 yards. He also led the team with 20 touchdown catches and finished with 178 points, third best in team history. He caught 10 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns against Macon, then had a 138 receiving yard game with two touchdowns against Wichita.
K-Dubb became the Twisters offensive specialist halfway through the '02 season and made the most of his opportunity. He caught a career high 22 touchdown passes, and was second on the team with 67 catches for 813 yards. He returned 24 kickoffs, two for touchdowns.
K-Dubb's first year with the Twisters in '01 saw him do a little bit of everything. He caught 27 passes, threw for nearly 500 yards, ran the ball 16 times, returned kicks, returned an interception for a touchdown, had 17 tackles, and recorded a sack.
Originally a highly touted option quarterback out of Pine Bluff Dollarway, K-Dubb has earned Player of the Week honor twice in his career.
