Twisters Open 9th Season With Start Of Training Camp

(North Little Rock, AR) - The Arkansas Twisters begin its ninth season in the af2 with its first practice on Friday, March 14th at Pulaski Academy High School at 8:30am. The media is invited to attend, and the event is open to the public.

Players reported to training camp on Tuesday, March 12 and were given physicals and issued equipment the next day. Players will spend training camp vying for spots on the Twisters roster for the season opener on April 5th at Oklahoma City.

The Arkansas Twisters began playing in the af2 in 2000 and set numerous attendance records. The team has sent several players to the CFL, AFL and the NFL including Reggie Swinton, Kahlil Carter, Steve Watson, Reggie Cooley, and Kimani Jones. The team has made the post season in four of the last six years, including two conference championship games ('03 & '06).
