
Dusters Release Players From Training Camp

AMARILLO, TEXAS - The Amarillo Dusters announced today the release of five players from the 2008 training camp roster, bringing the roster to the arena football 2 league mandated 30 players.
Quarterback Orrick Watkins, linemen Brian Simmons, Charles Bryant, and Tito Martinez, and defensive back Anthony Hayes were all released from the team.
"It's never easy to release players, but it's part of the job," said head coach, Chris MacKeown. "I wish these players the best of luck in the future."
The Dusters training camp will continue for the next 10 days. Next round of releases will take place on the final day of training camp, March 23.
The Dusters will open their 2008 regular season on Saturday, March 29 when they traveling to Tulsa to take on the defending ArenaCup Champions, the Tulsa at the Tulsa Convention Center. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. Fans can follow the play-by-play action with the voice of the Dusters, Nat Hall on the Dusters Radio Network.
