(Bossier City, LA) - Bossier-Shreveport took out five years of frustration against the Arkansas Twisters in one night after defeating the Twisters 53-29 in front of one of the biggest crowds in Battle Wings history at the CenturyTel Center. The Battle Wings defense held Arkansas scoreless through the first quarter and to just one score in the first half. Bossier quarterback Quincy Carter led the Battle Wings' offense to points on every possession of the game and Bossier led 26-7 at the break. The Twisters closed within 46-29 in the fourth quarter when Brian Villanueva found Kevin Williams on an eight yard touchdown pass, then found Jon Schoonover for the two point conversion. Bossier responded when Carter hit P. J. Winston for a 35 yard score, then intercepted Villanueva on the Twisters next drive to close out the game. The win marks the first time Bossier has defeated the Twisters since June 8, 2002, and the biggest margin of victory over Arkansas. Twisters' defensive back Jason Simpson finished with a game high 11.0 tackles and broke the Twisters season record for tackles. Simpson has 107.5 tackles for the season breaking the record of 100.5 set by Delenell Reid in 2006. Villanueva completed 20 of 39 passes for 228 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.
