TV Time for Jackals on WETM-2

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, in conjunction with WETM-2, today announced the schedule of games that will be televised during the 2008-2009 regular season. The second year of the two-year partnership will again see the Jackals featured twelve times live on WETM-2. All live telecasts will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of the April 1st game (7 p.m.) with an encore presentation of each game broadcast airing at 4 p.m. the day following afternoon.

The broadcast schedule kicks offs off in earnest with an Opening Night visit by Reading on October 17th in a renewal of last season's North Division semifinal series. The game will be the first of three featuring the Jackals and Royals. The defending Brabham Cup champion Cincinnati Cyclones will also be making three appearances on this season's broadcast schedule, the first coming on Friday, November 14th.

The Jackals welcome in each of their North Division foes at least one television appearance each with single visits scheduled for Trenton, Dayton and Wheeling while Johnstown provides the opposition for two television games. The Augusta Lynx is the only club outside the North Division to be featured on the broadcast schedule when their first ever visit to First Arena airs on October 24th.

April 1st Reading 7 p.m.

Jackals radio play-by-play voice Grady Whittenburg and WETM-2's Scott Mayer will form the broadcast team for a second consecutive season. WETM-2 can be seen on Time Warner Cable channel 11 in Elmira, Corning, Watkins Glen, Elkland, and Lawrenceville. WETM-2 recently added carriage on Blue Ridge Cable (Tioga County, Pennsylvania) on channel 8.
