Turn Back the Clock Weekend and Birdzerk Highlight Upcoming Promotions

RICHMOND, VA— The Richmond Braves announced today the promotions for their upcoming eight-game homestand, which includes a four- game series with the Ottawa Lynx and a four-game set with the Syracuse SkyChiefs.

The Braves welcome the Lynx to The Diamond on Tuesday, May 13 with a 7:00 p.m. contest. Every Tuesday at The Diamond this season is a Ukrop's Double Play Tuesday. On these days, all Valued Customer Card members will receive two General Admission tickets for the price of one courtesy of Ukrop's.

During Wednesday afternoon's 2:00 p.m. game with Ottawa the Braves will celebrate Stroke Awareness Day. Stroke Awareness magic grip jar openers will be given out to the first 2,000 fans courtesy of the American Stroke Association and the Richmond Braves.

Game three with the Lynx will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. During the game the top five contestants from FOX Richmond and Q94's Richmond Idol contest will each perform between innings. Don't forget, every Thursday at The Diamond is a Twizzlers "Terrific" Thursday. Fans bringing any Twizzlers wrapper to The Diamond Box Office will receive two tickets for the price of one.

The final game with Ottawa is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start on Friday. Friday marks the beginning of Turn Back the Clock Weekend at The Diamond. The first 4,000 fans on Friday will receive a Braves retro hat courtesy of Pepsi, MapCo Express, and Lite 98. Also, don't miss the first appearance of the season by Birdzerk.

On Saturday the Braves welcome the SkyChiefs to The Diamond for a 7:00 p.m. contest as Turn Back the Clock Weekend continues. The first 4,000 fans will receive a Braves wall clock courtesy of HCA Richmond Hospitals and Lite 98.

Sunday, Turn Back the Clock Weekend comes to a close as the Braves take on the SkyChiefs at 2:00 p.m. The first 2,500 kids (14 & under) will receive a Braves batting helmet courtesy of HCA Richmond Hospitals and Lite 98. Don't forget that each Sunday at The Diamond is Country Crock Family Funday. Each family showing a Country Crock proof of purchase will receive up to four General Admission tickets free.

Monday night the Braves will battle the SkyChiefs at 7:00 p.m. Monday will be Del Monte/Ukrop's Night. Any fan bringing a Del Monte vegetable label to The Diamond Box Office will receive a free General Admission ticket courtesy of Del Monte and Ukrops.

The homestand comes to a close May 20 on Ukrop's Double Play Tuesday with a 2:00 p.m. match-up against Syracuse. Valued Customer Card members will receive two GA tickets for the price of one.
