Durham Bulls News Release
Durham, NC - While Durham Bulls fans have always enjoyed between-inning promotions at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, on Friday the rest of the nation got "the rest of the story."
Internationally syndicated reporter Paul Harvey, know for daily news reports and The Rest of the Story, recognized the Durham Bulls Diaper Derby as something that "fills the seats in Durham, North Carolina during Bulls games" on Friday during his morning report.
The Diaper Derby, also known as the Stroller Derby, has been sponsored at the ballpark by Durham Regional Hospital for the past two seasons. It's a promotion that pits two young fathers in a race with baby dolls in strollers. The young dads have to run down the first base line, change the baby's diaper, then race back to home plate for a chance to win a prize from the team. As Mr. Harvey joked, "more times than not, the fathers are so motivated (for the prize) that the baby's go flying."

The Durham Bulls begin a 10-game homestand on Saturday, May 10th against the Toledo Mudhens. For tickets call the Bulls box office at (919) 956-BULL or order online at www.durhambulls.com.
