Tulsa's Rob Hisey Wins Sher-Wood/TPS CHL Player Of The Month

(Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League announced today that forward Rob Hisey of the Tulsa Oilers has been named the Sher-Wood/TPS Central Hockey League Player of the Month for the month of October/2009. Hisey will receive a Sher-Wood/TPS portable DVD player, courtesy of Sher-Wood/TPS, to recognize his accomplishment.

Hisey, 25, got off to a great start this season scoring a hat trick in the Oiler's opening night win at Mississippi and finished the month with nine points (4-5=9) in his final three games. The 5-9, 175-pound forward's monthly totals were seven goals, five assists and a +6 for the Oilers who went 3-2 in October. He had multiple-point games in four of the five games in the month including a five-point night (1-4=5) on October 27th versus Rapid City.

The Oakville, Ontario native currently leads the CHL with 14 points (8-6=14) and is on a four-game point streak helping the Oilers to a strong start in the early season winning four of their first six contests (currently in second place in the Northern Conference).

Other players receiving consideration for the monthly award for October include Amarillo's Joe Guenther and Jake Morissette, Arizona's Torren Delforte, Bossier-Shreveport's Simon Mangos, Colorado's Riley Nelson and Kevin Ulanski, Corpus Christi's Jereme Tendler, Laredo's Jeff Bes, Mississippi's Ryan Held and Derek Landmesser, Odessa's Collin Circelli and Dominic Leveille and Rapid City's Colt King and Brendan Cook.
