Tulsa Uses Big Fourth Quarter to Top Legends

FRISCO, TX, (Feb. 26, 2014) - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), hosted the Tulsa 66ers in their third matchup of the season. The Legends came into tonight leading the series 2-0 but dropped their first against the 66ers on their home court 84-99.

The two teams rallied consistently for four quarters with 19 lead changes and 13 tie-ups. The Legends held close for three quarters before Tulsa found their hot spot in the final minutes, outscoring the home team 27-14 to take home the victory.

Damion James led the Legends in scoring and rebounds with the team's only double-double of 17 points and 13 boards. Booker Woodfox came off the bench to add 15 off of five long-distance buckets. Tulsa had three players - Mario Little, Reggie Williams and Mustafa Shakur - tied for leading scorer with 18 apiece.

The Legends celebrated the life of young Zachary Schrah, who collapsed at the age of 16 due to sudden cardiac arrest, with Living for Zachary night. The team wore custom jerseys, made possible by The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, and recognized Living for Zachary president and founder Karen Schrah as a "Legend of the Night".

The Legends will return to the court tomorrow night hosting the Los Angeles D-Fenders at 7pm. The game will be broadcast live on television - KTXD 47 - and radio - KVCE 1160am.
