Warriors Acquire Returning Player Rights to Justin Holiday from Idaho

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired the returning player rights to guard Justin Holiday from the Idaho Stampede in exchange for guard Scott Machado. The trade is contingent pending physicals.

Holiday, 24, appeared in 47 games with the Idaho Stampede last season, averaging 17.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest. The 6'6", 180-pound guard earned a GATORADE Call-Up to the Philadelphia 76ers on April 1, 2013, where he averaged 4.7 points and 1.6 rebounds in 15.8 minutes played over the course of nine games. Holiday led the NBA D-League in steals per game last season (2.4), and he was named to the 2013 All-NBA D-League Defensive Second Team and All-NBA D-League Third Team. He began the season in training camp with the Utah Jazz and is currently a member of Szolnoki Olaj in Hungary.

Machado, 23, has appeared in 13 games with the Santa Cruz Warriors this season, averaging 8.6 points and 3.2 assists in 20.6 minutes. Acquired by the Santa Cruz Warriors last season, Machado earned a GATORADE Call-Up to the Golden State Warriors on April 7, 2013, where he appeared in five playoff games.
