
Tulsa Signs Former Strike Force Defensive Lineman

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, powered by Community Care, announced the signing of Michael Badejo early in the offseason.
Badejo, comes off of a season with the San Diego Strike Force in 2023, in which he played in 14 out of the 15 games during the regular season, the only game missed being against the Oilers on June 4. During the 2023 season, the 6'3, 265 lbs. defensive lineman recorded 38 tackles, 6.5 of which were tackles for loss, including 1.5 sacks.
"Badejo is a guy I have been looking at for the last year, he has a great motor and did a great job in college," said head coach Marvin Jones. "He is someone I had my mind on during the offseason and I think he can really upgrade our defensive line. It will be great to have him."
The Arlington, Texas native played his most recent college football at Texas Southern University, having 67 tackles in just 17 games played for the Tigers.
Prior to his time at TSU, the new Oiler played at Southern Methodist University, participating in 23 games, earning 16 tackles, including a sack. The former Mustang had original offers from other schools, including Purdue, Washington, Pittsburgh, Iowa, Notre Dame, Indiana, Illinois, Boise State, Air Force, Army, Houston, Navy, Fresno State, and Oregon State.
Tulsa will see its second season begin in 2024.
