Week In Review: The Oilers went 0-3-1 last week and remain outside the playoff picture in the Berry Conference. Last Tuesday at home, Tulsa suffered a 3-1 setback at the hands of Rapid City with Jeff Terminesi scoring the Oilers only goal of the game. Against Quad City on Friday, the Oilers battled back from three, one-goal deficits and Ryan Cramer tied the game at 3-3 late in the third period with his first goal in 17 games. Mallards rookie sensation Jared Brown blasted home the game winning goal just 22 seconds into overtime, but the Oilers managed secure a valuable point. Tulsa visited Quad City the next night and trailed by a goal in the third period when the Mallards slammed the door shut with three goals in the span of two minutes to send the Oilers to a 6-2 loss. The weekend concluded in Missouri where the Oilers were shutout for the only the second time this season. The 4-0 loss to the Mavs was the Oilers eighth straight road defeat.

Playoff Pursuit: Tulsa began the week only one point behind Rio Grande Valley for the fourth and final Berry Conference playoff spot. Now, thanks to the Oilers losses this week and three wins for the Killer Bees, Tulsa finds itself six points out of fourth place. The Oilers have just one win in their last nine games while the Bees have victories in six of their last seven contests. Tulsa has seven games remaining (5 home, 2 away) and Rio Grande Valley has five left to play (2 home, 3 away). The Bees begin a three-game Turner Conference road trip on Wednesday at Bloomington.

Shots+ChancesNothing: In four games last week, the Oilers averaged 36 shots on goal but only scored six times. Tulsa has failed to score three goals in 10 of its last 11 outings and has a record of 2-7-2 in those games. The Oilers also had 19 powerplays last week, but didn't score any goals on the man-advantage.

White Is Not Alright: The Oilers, who have been wearing their white jerseys on the road in the second half of the season, haven't won a road game since a 1-0 victory at Texas on January 27. Tulsa has more road losses (19) than any other team in the CHL. Since the calendar turned to 2012, the Oilers are 3-11-2 in games away from the comfort of the BOK Center. During the current eight-game road skid, Tulsa has been outscored 31-9.

Ullrich Finalist For ROY: The CHL announced Wednesday that Oilers center Mike Ullrich is a finalist for the league's Rookie of the Year award. Ullrich is on the final ballot with Jared Brown (F-Quad City), Andrew Courtney (F-Missouri), Bryan Gillis (G-Evansville), and Mark Guggenberger (G-Texas). Serving as the Oilers top-line center all season, Ullrich has tallied 25 goals and 28 and is tied for the team lead in points. Ullrich's goal total is not only tops on the Tulsa roster, but tied for first among all CHL rookies. The 25-year old out of Banff, Alberta has recorded two hat-tricks and 12 multiple-point games this season. Ullrich is tied for the team lead with seven powerplay goals and is one of only six players to appear in all 59 games this season.

Upcoming Games: The Oilers are gearing up for another weekend of three games in three days. Tulsa will host Arizona on Friday, travel to Missouri on Saturday, and return to the BOK Center on Sunday to duel Missouri once more.

Friday, March 16 at 7:35pm vs. Arizona Sundogs - Youth Jersey Night was such a success back in January that the Oilers are bringing it back! The first 500 fans (12 and under) through the BOK Center doors will receive a free Oilers youth jersey courtesy of Tulsa's Channel 8 and SuperCuts. The Oilers will be giving thousands of free ticket vouchers to local schools to distribute totheir students. Parents and adults who wish to attend the game can present the voucher toreceive a special discounted rate.

Sunday, March 18 at 4:05pm vs. Missouri Mavericks - Its Faith and Family Day at the BOK Center and the first 500 fans will receive a free Bible courtesy of Lifeway Christian Stores. Portions of the ticket sales will go to benefit the local chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After the game, fans can come down to the ice surface for a post-game skate with the Oilers players. It's the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with your family, friends, or church group and watch the Oilers take down the Mavericks!
