Round Rock Express News Release
The scenario has been a familiar one for Ruddy Lugo. The righthander has pitched will this year, but it never seems good enough to get a win. Thursday night was no different. This time, Kip Bouknight and the Tulsa Drillers were the perpetrators as the Round Rock Express were shutout, 5-0, in front of 2,592 at Drillers Stadium.
Lugo (0-5) rolled through the Drillers with relative ease until the seventh. Down only 1-0, Cory Sullivan hit bases loaded double to extend the lead to 2-0. Seth Taylor then singled off of reliever Greg Powell to make the score 4-0 and effectively put the game away.
Bouknight (2-2) got the win for Tulsa, which improved to 12-14. Round Rock falls to 6-20.
The two teams will meet again Friday night at 7:05 p.m.
