Tulsa 66ers to Host Thunder Field Trip Day at Chesapeake Energy Arena

TULSA, Okla., January 20, 2014 - The Tulsa 66ers, proud affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, will host the Iowa Energy in an NBA Development League game at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Tuesday, February 4. The contest, set to tip off at 11 a.m., marks the 66ers' inaugural Thunder Field Trip Day.

Thunder Field Trip Day in Oklahoma City

WHO: Tulsa 66ers vs. Iowa Energy

WHAT: The Tulsa 66ers and Iowa Energy will face off in the 66ers' inaugural Thunder Field Trip Day at Chesapeake Energy Arena, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Thousands of students from over 85 schools across Oklahoma will take in the excitement of 66ers basketball and the Oklahoma City Thunder game day experience.

During the game, Thunder mascot Rumble the Bison, 66ers mascot Routie the Roadrunner, the Thunder Girls dance team and the Storm Chasers will provide the excitement of Thunder game day entertainment, interacting with fans and helping cheer on the 66ers. The students in attendance will have opportunities throughout the game to learn about the importance of health, wellness and physical education through on-court demonstrations, crowd interaction and educational game booklets.
