Tucson Sidewinders News Release
A double-header between Tucson and Edmonton was snowed out on Sunday afternoon at TELUS Field. The Sidewinders and Trappers were also snowed out Saturday. Three games will have to be made up later in the season.
Tucson played one game in the series on Friday night with wind chills that dropped to the upper 20's. Edmonton pounded 21 hits in a 17-3 victory.
Tucson's road opener was in Edmonton last year. After being hammered in the first game of the series, the Sidewinders and Trappers lost three straight games to snow and cold.
Tucson is 12-17, nine and a half games out of first place in the PCL South. The Sidewinders will be off Monday before hosting Albuquerque in the first of a four-game series. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
