Round Rock Express News Release
Home runs by Jon Topolski, Eric Cole and Dax Norris staked the Round Rock Express to a 9-0 lead and give the Express a 13-8 win over the Tulsa Drillers. 3,913 at Drillers Stadium saw the Express tie their season high in runs. Ahead 2-0 after Topolski homer in the second, Eric Cole homered off losing pitcher Wade Parrish (0-2) to highlight a four-run fourth inning. Norris hit his third home run of the season the next inning to give Round Rock all the runs they would need.
D.J. Houlton (2-1) got the win after giving up four runs and five hits in five innings. The win also gave the Express their first two-game winning streak of the season.
Round Rock moves to 8-21 and Tulsa goes to 13-16.
The Express will make now move on to make its first appearance in Wichita tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m.
