Tucson Padres Come Back To Beat The Salt Lake Bees

Down by four runs early, the Tucson Padres came back to beat the Salt Lake Bees Thursday, 12-9. The win snapped a four-game losing streak and gave Tucson a 3-5 record after the first road trip of the season. Guillermo Quiroz led the way for the Padres offense, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs. The Padres offense tagged Salt Lake starter Trevor Bell for seven runs on 10 hits in his six innings of work. Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-5 with his second Triple-A home run for Tucson.

Aaron Poreda picked up his first win of the season, pitching two shutout innings, allowing only one hit and striking out two. Scott Munter pitched for the third time in the series, tossing a scoreless inning to earn a hold. Logan Forsythe hit his third home run of the season, and now has a hit in all seven games he's played in, the longest hitting streak on the team.

The Padres will fly back to Tucson Friday morning before the home opener. Some tickets still remain for Opening Night, and it is recommended fans arrive early to ensure they can view the entire pre-game ceremony.
