Tryouts for Lightning Girl Dancer, Boltz and Bugs

It is Time for the Girls to take to the Floor The longest tenured team in Continental Basketball Association history is on the lookout for new dancers. Regarded by many as the most popular dance team in the CBA because of their looks, style and skill, the Lightning girls are now accepting applications for the 2005-06 season.

Similar to many of the Lightning basketball players, the path to the NBA travels through Rockford. Three former Lightning girls; April Keiser, Heidi Woodyatt and Lisa Goines, danced for the Chicago LuvaBulls. The Lightning is looking for articulate, attractive and multi-talented dancers who are able to perform at all of the Lightning home games. Applicants must be 18 years or older. The Lightning is also seeking members for the Boltz and Bugs cheerleading teams. Boltz applicants must be at least 15 years of age while Bugs applicants should be between the ages of 5 and 10. Auditions for the Lightning Girls will take place September 25 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Patriots Gateway Center. The Boltz and Bugs will audition September 14th and 15th from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Patriots Gateway Center. Applications are available on the Rockford Lightning web site at www.rockfordlightning.com.
