Triumph to Begin Preseason against Defending NCAA Champion Tigers

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Triumph Soccer Club is set to play four preseason scrimmages ahead of the 2022 USL League One season, the club announced today. The preseason schedule is highlighted by a scrimmage on February 26th, when the Triumph will travel to the defending NCAA Champion-Clemson Tigers at Historic Riggs Field.

The Triumph will play four consecutive Saturday scrimmages in the run up to the club's April 2nd home opener against Fuego FC. The diverse schedule features clubs from the NCAA, USL Championship, USL League One and NISA. Two of the scrimmages will be open to fans: an away contest against the National Champion-Clemson Tigers on February 26th, and a home scrimmage against NISA's Chattanooga FC at Triumph SC's training ground at Bob Jones University. The club will also travel to Atlanta United's training ground to play their reserve team on March 5th. GTSC will wrap its' preseason on March 19th, two weeks before the hope opener, as they travel to North Carolina to scrimmage fellow League One-side, the Charlotte Independence.

Tickets will not be required for the two open scrimmages.

Saturday, Mar. 12 v. Chattanooga FC - 4:00 PM - Alumni Stadium, Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC

-Open to fans, free admission

Saturday, Mar. 19 @ Charlotte Independence - 2:00 PM - Sportsplex at Matthews, Matthews, NC
