Greenville Triumph SC News Release
Cary, North Carolina - The Triumph wrapped up the USL Championship portion of their preseason with a 2-1 victory against North Carolina FC at WakeMed Soccer Park. Greenville finished February with a 2-1 record, defeating Charleston and losing to Charlotte prior to Saturday's victory.
The match remained scoreless until a NCFC early in the second half. Undeterred, the Triumph answered back and scored again to go up 2-1 behind goals from forward Alex Morrell and trialist Noah Pilato.
With the USL Championship regular season beginning next weekend, Greenville will turn to regional collegiate competition, facing Campbell and Furman in closed-door scrimmages later this month as they continue preparations for the March 27 season opener against Chattanooga.
