St.Patty's Day lacrosse didn't disappoint in Saskatchewan.
Saturday night (Mar.16) at SaskTel Centre, the Saskatchewan Rush defeated the New York Riptide 17-15 thanks to a few huge offensive performances.
In the first half, the Rush jumped out to a 5-3 lead thanks to a pair of goals from Jake Boudreau and Zach Manns.
The goals continued in the second half with Ryan Keenan, Patrick Dodds, Mike Triolo and Robert Church getting in on the fun as Saskatchewan led 10-7 at half.
To start the third, both goaltenders made some big saves, but Triolo would extend the lead, with Church, Mike Messenger and Connor McClelland adding singles to put the Rush up 14-8.
In the final frame, the Riptide pushed back, but it wasn't enough as the home squad got goals from Triolo, Boudreau and Nathaniel Kozevnikov to close out the win.
Ryan Keenan finished the game with a team high seven points, while Jake Boudreau and Mike Triolo had hat tricks.
Frank Scigliano made 41 saves in Saskatchewan's fifth win of the season.
Next up, a rematch. The Rush and Riptide will meet in New York on Saturday, March 23rd. Faceoff is at 5:30PM Sask Time and fans can tune in to the game on 92.9 The Bull with Cody Janzen.
