Indianapolis Indians News Release
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians are proud to partner with Eli Lilly and Company on two charitable programs the rest of this season. Lilly will now be supporting "Tickets for Troops" and the Make-A-Wish Foundation through efforts at Victory Field.
The Tribe's "Tickets for Troops" program is in its second year. Indians fans are able to support central Indiana soldiers by donating tickets, and Lilly will now match every ticket donated through the program.
Season ticket holders can support the United States Armed Forces by redeeming unused tickets for tickets that will be used as part of the program. Non-season ticket holders can purchase tickets and request they be used for central Indiana military personnel.
Reserved seats for select 2008 home games will be donated to the U.S. Army Reserve 88th Regional Readiness Center (Indianapolis), Grissom Air Reserve Base (Peru, Ind.) and Camp Atterbury (Edinburgh, Ind.).
To donate your tickets, visit the Victory Field Box Office or mail tickets to: Indianapolis Indians Tickets for Troops 501 West Maryland Street Indianapolis, IN 46225
Lilly will also support the Make-A-Wish Foundation by matching fan donations (up to $3,000) for birthday, anniversary and other scoreboard greetings. The foundation was established in 1980 to grant wishes for children with life-threatening conditions. Each wish is approximately $6,000.
The Indians encourage fans to make charitable contributions when requesting scoreboard messages at Victory Field. Birthday, anniversary and other scoreboard greetings run once each game on the right-field electronic matrix board.
To request an announcement, complete and submit the on-line order form under the Victory Field section of www.IndyIndians.com. The form must be filled out at least 24 hours prior to game time, and scoreboard requests can only be made by individuals 18 years or older.
