The Birds head into Sunday's matchup with a chance to tie the series
With the game tied at two in the eighth inning, James Triantos hit a go-ahead solo home run to secure the second win of the week for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans over the Charleston RiverDogs. The win moved Myrtle Beach back into a tie for the top spot in the Carolina League, South Division standings as both teams hold 21-11 records. Saturday was also Military Appreciation Night at Pelicans Ballpark as the Birds wore specialty jerseys that were raffled off to active-duty military and veterans during the game.
