Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils (39-59) extended their win streak to three games with a 3-1 victory over the Eugene Emeralds on Wednesday night at Gesa Stadium. Kevin Maitan's two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning gave the Dust Devils a lead they would not relinquish the rest of the night.
Five different Tri-City pitchers combined to limit the Emeralds to just one run. Reliever Kyle Molnar notched the win and Ivan Armstrong earned the save after keeping Eugene without a run over the final three innings of the game. In addition to Maitan's crucial blast, both Jordyn Adams and Griffin Mazur delivered at the plate in the win with two hits.
Sam Bachman, the No. 9 overall pick in this year's MLB Draft, will start for the Dust Devils on Thursday night. Right-hander Blake Rivera will toe the rubber for Eugene.
