
Tri-City Slips Past Riders in Shootout 4-3

Kearney, Nebraska- Jesse Martin and Calle Ridderwall both converted penalty shots as the host Tri-City Storm defeated the RoughRiders 4-3 in a shootout Friday night.
Only Pat Cannone converted in the shootout for the Riders after Mike Seidel scored two goals to erase a 3-1 Tri-City lead and help the Riders to one point.
Seidel first snapped the puck home from the right wing circle to trim the deficit to 3-2 at 13:12 of the second period.
The Riders were on the power play when Seidel tied the game at three by burying a cross-crease pass from Doug Jones with 5:46 left in regulation.
The Riders were forced to come from behind after the Storm ripped off three straight goals in the first and second periods.
Jesse Martin scored a pair of rebound goals just over four minutes apart in the first period to turn a 1-0 Rider lead into a 2-1 Storm advantage.
Calle Ridderwall's power play goal at 8:31 of the second period extend the Tri-City lead to two goals.
The Storm broke loose only after Aaron Bogosian turned a Jacob Cepis centering pass into the game's only goal at 4:11 of the first period.
