Macon Trax News Release
[Macon Ga.] â On Tuesday, Dec. 16, six Macon Trax players will be guest servers at Applebee's on Riverside Drive in Macon. Come during your lunch for this charitable event.
The players will be on hand during the lunch hour (11:00am -1:30pm) to serve all of Applebee's great patrons. All proceeds from the event will benefit Department of Family Children Services (DFACS).
The Trax take great pride in being involved in community events. For the month of November, the Macon Trax players donated more of their time to community events than any other team in the WHA2.
Along with the players, "The Diva" from Foxie 107 will be a celebrity waitress. The Trax will appear on Foxie 107 two times in the next few days. Tune in during the noon hour Monday when Darwin Murray will be in studio with Dangerous D. Tuesday morning Steve Howard will call into the Mike Roberts morning show at 8:15 am.
"We are very happy to be participating in a great event for a great cause." Trax General Manager Joe Suk said. "I know that all the Applebee's customers and Trax fans will love seeing the players and a local DJ serve them for lunch."
The Trax are also proud to announce DFACS as their Friday Dec. 19 "All Aboard for Charity" partner. Tickets will be donated in section 209 for the game versus the Orlando Seals.
Tickets are available at the Macon Trax hockey office and all ticketmaster outlets. Call 478-742-4849 for more information or stop by the Trax office located in the Macon Centreplex.
Tomorrow, Dec. 12 Miami visits Macon for the first time and Saturday, Dec. 13 Orlando comes to town for the annual "Teddy Bear Toss." All fans that bring teddy bears receive one dollar off of their tickets, Saturday. Puck drops at 7:35 pm both nights.
