Trax broadcaster to host sports talk show

[Macon, Ga.]—Macon Trax broadcaster Adam Minnick has recently been named sports director and weekend talk show host for Talk Radio 1670 WMWR. Beginning Saturday, September 18, Minnick will host a weekly local sports talk show, The Locker Room, from 5-8pm.

The show will be fully interactive. There will be weekly guests from local high school, college and professional sports teams. In addition, Minnick will field calls from all listeners no matter what the topic is.

"I am very excited for this opportunity with 1670 and Clear Channel Communications." said Minnick, "Macon has not had a local show to talk Middle Georgia sports in many years. I think The Locker Room will be a great addition to the station's lineup."

1670AM is also the new home of all Macon Trax radio broadcasts. During the season Minnick will often take the show on the road. If the Trax have a Saturday night road game, the show will be live from the various arenas in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).

The Trax begin their 2004-05 season with a six game road trip on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 in Huntsville and Columbus respectively. The Trax will debut on home ice Saturday, Nov. 20 against the Columbus Cottonmouths a 7:05 pm. Check the Trax website at www.macontrax.com for a complete schedule.

Make sure to reserve your season ticket and single game tickets for the 2004-05 season. The Trax open their home schedule on November 20 against the Columbus Cottonmouths. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Trax office at (478) 742-4849. Season tickets start as low as $99 and single game tickets are only $6.
