Macon Trax News Release

[Macon, Ga.]—Join the Trax players and staff for a night at the movies. On Tuesday, Feb. 10 the AmStar 16 on Zebulon Road in Macon will be holding a special screening of "Miracle" beginning at 6pm.

"Miracle" is the story of the 1980 U.S.A. Olympic Ice Hockey Team. Team USA made an improbable run through the Olympics to earn the gold medal.

On the way to the gold medal game, Team USA had to get past the world class Russian Olympic Team. The Russian team was widely recognized as the best hockey team in the world at the time. It was this game that prompted broadcaster Al Michaels to say, "Do you believe in miracles?! Yes!", as the seconds ticked down to Team USA's win over Russia.

The movie is portrayed through the eyes of Team USA's late Head Coach Herb Brooks. Brooks is portrayed by Kurt Russell. Already, Russell has received rave reviews for his performance.

WHA2 Co-Chairman of the Board Mike Eruzione was the captain of the 1980 Olympic team and says the movie is very accurate.

"I would say the movie is 90% accurate," Eruzione at the WHA2 All-Star Game said. "The movie does a great job of showing the team through the eyes of Herb [Brooks]."

The Trax players will arrive at the AmStar 16 at 6pm and will be available for pictures and autographs. All fans will then be invited to join the team to watch "Miracle" which will begin at 7pm. For further information please call Renee Bilbrey at the Trax office at 478-742-4849, Ext. 2.
