
Trashers trade Duhart to Flint for Posillico and Menicci

DANBURY, CTThe Danbury Trashers, proud members of the United Hockey League have traded Jim Duhart to the Flint Generals in exchange for the rights to Neil Posillico and Tom Menicci along with future considerations, it was announced today by Team President A.J. Galante.
Posillico, 22, is currently in his 3rd season as a professional but is unavailable due to an injury. As a pro, the 6-2, 249 lb forward has 11 points on six goals in 108 games with 506 penalty minutes. In one game with the Generals this season, the Syosset, New York native racked up 34 penalty minutes.
Menicci, 33, gives the Trashers another veteran presence upon his return to the ice following an elbow injury. The 6-0, 205 lb defenseman has yet to play this season but has played in the ECHL, WPHL, IHL and the United Hockey League. He spent the last two seasons with Quad City before the Generals picked up his rights.
In 663 professional games, the Westford, MA native has scored 444 points on 135 goals. Last season Menicci set a personal best in scoring with 63 points on 22 goals in 75 games.
At the time of the trade, Duhart had 12 points on seven goals with a 3 plus/minus rating over 16 games. He has been on team suspension since November 24th and was not in uniform for the last four games. The trade marks the 4th separate time that Duhart will be a member of the Flint organization.
Danbury returns to the ice on Wednesday December 1st at 7:30pm against the Kalamazoo Wings. Following a Friday night game in Richmond, the Trashers will host Port Huron at 7:00pm on Friday and 5:30pm on Sunday.
