IHL 2 Kalamazoo Wings

Countdown to Face-Off

December 1, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

The K-Wings continue their six-game road swing tonight in Danbury, Connecticut with their first-ever meeting against the Danbury Trashers. Tonight's contest starts a grueling four games in five nights stretch for Kalamazoo that will conclude this Sunday in Richmond, Virginia.

The K-Wings have been one of the league's most consistent teams on the road this year going 5-3-0 away from Wings Stadium. The K-Wings road prowess has been more dominate of late, as the K-Wings have been victorious in four of their last five road games. The main reason for the K-Wings success has been their stingy defense that has only allowed 2.44 goals against them this season, which is the third lowest GAA in the UHL.

It's been home sweet home for the Danbury Trashers this season. With a home record of 9-1-1, the Trashers have the best home record in the UHL. The first-year franchise has developed into one of the top teams in league. The Trashers are in first place in the Eastern Division and they are carrying a winning streak into tonight's game. Danbury is unbeaten in regulation in their last six games (5-0-1), which includes five straight victories.
