FLINT, MI--Mike and Drew Omicioli scored goals for the second straight game while Dave MacIsaac scored a 3rd period goal while he added the game-winner in the shootout as the Trashers defeated Flint 4-3 at Perani's Arena on Saturday night.
Drew Omicioli's second goal of the season was scored at the 5:33 mark of the opening frame on an assist from Drew, while Flint equalized the score on Matt Elich's first of the season at the 15:35 mark from JP Morin and Terry Marchant on the power play.
Leo Thomas scored the first of two goals as he netted an unassisted tally at the 9:24 mark of the second period which was followed by Jon Mirasty's second fight of the season at the 9:27 mark as he took down George Cantrall following an exciting skirmish between the two combatants.
The Trashers re-tied the score at 2-2 when Mike Omicioli netted his second of the year on an assist from Frederic Belanger. Danbury then emerged with a 3-2 lead when Dave MacIsaac scored his first of the year after a nifty drop pass from Alex Goupil at the 9:13 mark, but then Thomas scored again from Morin at the 15:53 mark to send it to a shootout.
