Macon Trax News Release

[Macon Ga.]-The Macon Trax of the WHA2, have announced their Macon portion of the training camp schedule has been slightly altered. The afternoon practices have been moved to a later time.

Coach Tommy Stewart has moved afternoon practices to 4:00-5:30 pm. This was done to accommodate Trax fans.

"I feel this will allow more of our fans to see us this week at practice." Stewart said. "Hopefully when they get out of work they can drive down to the Centreplex and see the boys before the season begins."

On Friday, Oct. 31 the Macon Trax will hold an intersquad scrimmage. The game will begin at approximately 4:30 pm and last about an hour.

The scrimmage will be free of charge, like all practices, but fans will be asked to make a donation to the "All Aboard for Charity" program. The Trax goal is to raise enough money from the scrimmage to be able to purchase least one season ticket to donate to the charity program.

Coach Stewart will give the players a day off on Saturday, Nov. 1 in preparation for their only preseason game. The Trax will travel to Pelham, AL to face the Slammers for a closed preseason game.

The Macon Trax will open their season versus the Lakeland Loggerheads in Florida on Nov. 6th. The puck drops on the first ever WHA2 game at 7:05 pm. All WHA2 games will be broadcast on www.irn.fm.

Do not forget to get your tickets now for the Trax home opening weekend. The home opener is Saturday, Nov. 22 versus the Alabama Slammers. The game starts at 7:35 pm. Get there early to get your Burger King magnet schedule!
