On finally seeing the guys on the field...
"It was good to finally see the players out on the field playing against each other. These next few weeks are critical in deciding what this team will look like entering our first game. After taking a look at the film, we will have a better idea of how we looked and what we will need to work on (Sunday)."
His overall thoughts on the day...
"All-in-all it was a good day. It was good to get through the first day with no injuries and to start getting the guys back into playing shape. I saw some good things on the field today."
Offensive Specialist Thabiti Davis' comments on the day...
On getting back on the football field for the first time this season...
"It was real good. It was nice to go against some guys. Our defense looked real good. The offense will take a little time to jell, but I think we started off on the right foot. We are just looking to build on today."
On how quickly the team is coming together...
"The attitude is wonderful. Everybody is ready to work and work hard...and ready to win."
On how the first day went...
"It felt like a first day of camp. Having spent the past six months off from football and my legs not being exactly fresh for the second practice, I worked through it. It was pretty much what I expected.
