Daytona Tortugas News Release

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The Daytona Tortugas game against the Dunedin Blue Jays was cancelled Tuesday night at Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark due to weather. The game will not be made up, as the two teams will not meet again during the first half of the season.

This Sunday, June 11th, will now become a Silver Sluggers game in place of Tuesday and all picnics from Tuesday night at The Jack will be rescheduled. Purchased tickets for Tuesday's game can be used for any other home game this season.

Tuesday is the first rain out in Daytona this season, as the Tortugas took all three games in the series with Dunedin.

The homestand continues this weekend, beginning with Thirsty Thursday. The first place Tortugas will welcome in the first place Palm Beach Cardinals to The Jack for a four game series over the weekend. All games can be heard on AM 1230 and AM 1490 WSBB. Coverage begins Thursday with The Metcare Pregame Show at 6:45 PM. For individual game tickets, call the Tortugas offices at (386) 257-3172 or visit their website at daytonatortugas.com.
