
Toros Road Trip Ends in 11-2 Loss

Chico, CA - The Tucson Toros roadtrip culminated in an 11-2 loss to the Chico Outlaws on Thursday. The club finishes the roadtrip with a 3-3 record.
Starter Matt Lincoln, who has been dominant at home this year, struggled on the road for the second straight time. The lefty allowed 7 runs on 10 hits in 5 innings of work to fall to 0-2. In 2 starts on the road Lincoln has allowed 15 runs (11 earned) in 9 2/3 innings while allowed just 1 earned run in 14 innings of work at home.
Tucson managed just 4 hits against former first round pick Kris Honel, who struck out 12 Toros batters for the Outlaws. Leftfielder Lino Garcia reached base 3 times with 2 of Tucson's hits and a hit by pitch. The Toros did not have an extrabase hit for the second straight game and leave Chico with just 1 hit for extrabases in 3 games played.
The Toros will return home to Tucson where they will host the St. George Roadrunners for a 3-game homestand beginning with a Fireworks Friday on June 11th.
