June 10, 2010 - Golden Baseball League (GBL)
Tucson Toros News Release

The Tucson Toros lost to the Chico Outlaws 6-1 on Wednesday to snap the team's three game winning streak. Despite the loss, Tucson is still 3-2 during the roadtrip heading into the trip's final game on Thursday.

The Outlaws doubled up on hits on the Toros Wednesday, belting out 14 hits to Tucson's 7. Albie Lopez got the start for Tucson, allowing 5 five runs on 10 of those hits to take his first loss of the season. Lopez is now 2-1 this year. Righthander Andrew Snowdon allowed Chico's final run on 4 hits.

Tucson fell behind early with the Outlaws scoring 5 times over the game's first 3 innings against Lopez. Tucson's only run scored came in the 8th inning when Shortstop Ryan Priddy came home on Rightfielder Victor Ferrante's double play ball. Centerfielder Josh Womack had a pair of singles as the only Toro with multiple hits. Tucson did not have an extrabase hit in the contest, and have had only one hit go for extrabases in their last two contests.

The Toros will look to solidify a winning roadtrip against the Outlaws Thursday in Chico before heading home to take on the St. George Roadrunners for a 3-game homestand beginning with a Fireworks Friday on June 11th.
