
Toros Host Teacher Appreciation Night

AUSTIN, TX (April 7, 2009) - The Austin Toros are back in action tonight and Wednesday night at the Austin Convention Center beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Toros (29-17) have clinched a playoff spot, but are in a close fight for home court advantage in the first round.
The Toros take on the Reno Bighorns tonight for Teacher Appreciation Night. The Toros will honor those Central Texas teachers who have been named Teacher of the Year by their respective schools with a complementary ticket and halftime recognition.
On Wednesday night against southwest division rival Rio Grande Valley, the Toros host Pet Adoption Night where fans in attendance can begin the process of adopting a pet. The Austin Humane Society along with several shelter groups in the Austin area including Austin Boxer Rescue, Lucky Mutts, Street Cat Rescue and Heart of Texas Lab Rescue will be on hand to help fans in the adoption process.
