Tulsa, Okla., Apr. 7, 2009 - The Tulsa 66ers will host early auditions for the 2009-10 66ers Dance Team this Saturday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at the Bixby High School gymnasium, located at 601 Riverview Road in Bixby.
The early auditions will provide new and returning dance team members the opportunity to be advocates in the community all summer long on behalf of the franchise, as well as prepare for the upcoming season.
Women 18 and older can audition to be part of the NBA Development League and the affiliate to the Thunder. A second round of auditions for the 2009-10 season will be held at a later date. The dance team will perform at all 24 home games during the 2009-10 season and make community appearances throughout the region on behalf of the team.
To pre-register, please mail or drop off the application, waiver, a 5x7 photo and registration fee of $10 to the 66ers front office, located at 8516 E. 101st St., Suite D, in Tulsa by Thursday, April 9, at 5 p.m.
Walk up registration on the day of the audition is $15 and will begin at 10 a.m. Registration and application forms are available at tulsa66ers.com, along with details on the audition process and answers to frequently asked questions.
