Toros Games to Air on AM 1300 The Zone

AUSTIN, TEXAS, September 14, 2006 - The Austin Toros, a member of the NBA Development League, announced that the team has entered into an agreement to broadcast Toros games on AM 1300 The Zone. The radio deal will encompass a combination of home and road broadcasts throughout the 2006-07 season. The final broadcast schedule will be announced in the near future and prior to the start of the NBA Development League season on November 24.

"Clear Channel and The Zone offers us a great platform to reach basketball fans and families throughout the greater Austin market and across Central Texas," Toros President Mike Berry said. "We are thrilled to be working with The Zone, as well as its sister stations, as we continue to grow our fan base and community outreach efforts."

Play-by-play duties will be handled by Marc Hoenig, Studio Host on the Longhorn Sports Network and host of the weekly show "Only an Hour with Marc Hoenig" Saturday mornings on The Zone. The broadcast will also include a pre and post game show with exclusive interviews from Toros players and coaches.
