The Toronto Marlies posted a record of 0-1-1-0 this past week.

On Thursday, Toronto traveled to Cleveland where they were defeated by the Lake Erie Monsters, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, by a score of 4-3 in overtime. Nicolas Deschamps, Simon Gysbers and Tim Connolly each registered a goal for the Marlies while Jussi Rynnas stopped 23 of 27 shots in the loss. Rookie Mike Sgarbossa led the Monsters with two goals, including the overtime winner. Calvin Pickard stopped 26 of 29 shots to earn his 12th victory of the season.

The Marlies returned home on Saturday for the first time in 21 days. In their second meeting of the season against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Marlies were defeated by a score of 3-1. Tim Connolly's third goal in as many games was the lone tally for Toronto. Mark Owuya stopped 30 of 33 shots in the loss. Toronto went 1-for-5 on the powerplay and 4-for-5 on the penalty kill.

Look Ahead:

Toronto will play once on the road and once at Ricoh Coliseum this coming week.

On Friday, Toronto travels to New York to play the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres, at 7:05 p.m. This marks the sixth of 10 meetings between the two teams this season. Toronto has posted a record of 5-0- 0-0 against the Amerks so far this year. Mark Mancari leads Rochester in scoring with 35 points in 40 games. Goaltender David Leggio has posted a record of 21- 12-1 in 34 starts so far this season.

The Marlies return home on Saturday when they host the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, at 3 p.m. Toronto has recorded six victories in nine games against the Bulldogs this season. Gabriel Dumont leads Hamilton in scoring with 24 points in 39 games, while goaltender Robert Mayer has a record of 8-9-3 in 22 starts this season.
