Following a short stint at Skeid, Diomande joined IL Hödd, where he registered 18 goals in 28 appearances. After successful campaigns in Hödd, Diomande signed with Norwegian top-flight club Strømsgodset Toppfotball, where he notched 16 goals in 51 games over three seasons and led the club to a league title in 2013. Prior to his move to MLS, Diomande joined English club Hull City in the summer of 2015, and in three seasons, he tallied eight goals and three assists in 64 matches.
Born in Oslo, Norway, Diomande has represented the Norway national team and made his senior debut against Azerbaijan in a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying match on June 12, 2015.
