Worcester Tornadoes News Release
Worcester, MA -- The Worcester Tornadoes are proud to announce that they will be hosting "An Evening with the Stars of Baseball" dinner at the DCU Center on Wednesday, May 7, 2008.
The dinner will be held in conjunction with the Ted Williams Museum & Hitters Hall of Fame and will feature a number of former Red Sox greats. Johnny Pesky, Bernie Carbo, Bill Monbouquette, and Tornadoes Manager Rich Gedman will all be in attendance and will be signing free autographs prior to the dinner, from 6-7pm. A silent auction will also take place before the dinner, which will follow at 7pm. A portion of the proceeds from the night will go to benefit Worcester children's baseball programs.
"We are honored to partner with the Ted Williams Museum & Hitters Hall of Fame to host this special evening and we hope it will become an annual event here in Worcester ," said Tornadoes President and General Manager R.C. Reuteman. "It's a rare opportunity for Central Massachusetts baseball fans to get to meet and talk to some real baseball legends and also contribute to a very worthy charitable cause at the same time. It is very important to the Tornadoes to give back to the community that has supported us so well."
Dress code for the evening is business casual: no shorts, t-shirts or jeans will be permitted. Tickets cost $75 per person and $750 for a table of ten people. Download a registration form, or for more information, contact Sandie Rousseau at the Tornadoes office at 508-792-2288 or via e-mail at srousseau@worcestertornadoes.com.
